Banking on the success of our success in the engineering and equipment and special purpose vehicles business segment, we have over the years, gradually diversified into the upstream business of oil palm plantation through a series of strategic acquisitions. We believe that our 30 years involvement in the palm oil industry and the stature of palm oil as a commodity will allow us to achieve sustainable long term growth.
As at the second half of 2013, CBIP currently has, under its subsidiaries, approximate landbank of 70,577 hectares in Kalimantan Tengah, of which 3,000 hectares have been planted and under its jointly controlled entity and associated companies with the Tradewinds Plantation group, approximately landbank of 20,748 hectares in Sarawak, of which 20,344 hectares have been planted. On current developments, we have begun planting aggressively in Kalimantan Tengah and expect contribution to commence in 2016.
